The Bentley name has been trusted for cleaning since the 1940’s when James Sr. was running the laundry on the Naval Ship USS Pine Island. Before that he worked with his mother at her boarding house in Birmingham, Alabama with his five brothers. After leaving the navy, James Sr. worked over 17 years with the Birmingham Linen Service learning not only cleaning techniques but also how to service the customer. He moved his family to Atlanta in 1965 where he stared his own dry cleaning and laundry business and ran a chain of them throughout Atlanta. Carpet and area rug cleaning was a natural
progression because of the need for trusted carpet cleaners.
In 1987 after graduating from the University of Georgia, Patrick started his own chain of cleaners in Atlanta and specifically Gwinnett County. Not only was he a second generation cleaner but he began a textile restoration business which dealt with fire, water, and mold in homes. He partnered with many restoration companies which helped him learn the techniques of water restoration and the insurance expectations.
Patrick received his certification with the IICRC with Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning, Stone Masonry, and Ceramic Tile Cleaning. He also took classes on updating his strip and wax experience through classes at Jon Don in Atlanta.
He's hoping to have many of his sons eventually take over the business when he retires !
When listening to radio commercials these days, you hear these local celebrities brag about a certain product or service. Most of us realize they are getting paid in some form or fashion for their endorsement. After all the radio station doesn’t operate for free and neither do these people. Come to think of it you and I don’t either. I do like the commercial from a mattress guy that borrowed a saying form a British journalist. It says: “Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is knowing that a tomato doesn’t belong in a fruit salad.” Meaning knowledge can only take us so far if we don’t know how to use it.
I can for one tell you that every one of my customers speak from the heart and are not agreeing to brag about their experience because I’m paying them, but are paying me to do so! Doesn’t that say something about how I not only treat your floors but each customer personally? My job is to clean your carpets, tile, and upholstery (including drapes) and not to pay someone to brag about a service they will have performed later. It doesn’t make sense. The general public can be duped pretty regularly but I consider my clients a bit smarter. They have not bit on that rotten apple of fake advertising.
When it comes to how I clean, I can tell you that my products are industry ‘green’ and can be proven. The advertising campaign being used right now says they don’t use chemicals and is better all around for your home. If this is true, why can’t they clean urine stains with water and grease stains without going into their bag of tricks and pulling out some sort of solution to make that stain go away? It’s because of simple science. Not rocket science but basic science. Look up the reason we wash our hands with soap. How has that word become a bad thing? Soaps or surfactants (surface acting agents) are meant to help water penetrate into the fibers of any textile and release the bad dirt and germs. Then the surfactant is rinsed and brought out of the fiber along with the dirt and grime. Look up any video of surface acting agent and it will explain why they are used. It’s very simple. The difference is that when I use something to break the grease and dirt out of your carpet, it works and rinsed out to leave your carpet softer and clean for your family. The steam cleaning is a deep cleaning without soaking your pad because my cleaning technique is regulated by my pressure system in my truck. I adjust to each job as needed. Whether you have a pad or carpeting directly on a concrete floor. And as far as sanitizing, any time high temps are used, it helps sanitize any area. Why else do we use hot water in your washing machine or dishwasher?
And you won’t have spent more than you planned with my company. When we either talk on the phone or I come out for a free estimate, you will only pay what we discuss but you will certainly get your hard earned money’s worth.
When you have me in your home, you get a uniformed, licensed, insured, trained and certified tech from the governing entity for professional cleaners. The same one manufacturers go to for testing any new products, the IICRC. Check out my videos and see why.
Let s face it, if you want someone you can trust to do a fantastic job on your floors for a very reasonable price give me the chance to prove my abilities. As the old adage goes we get what we pay for. Everyone knows that. You can trust me in your home and that is not a small detail to consider.
